Čekin.cz: Event Check-in System (Web + iOS)
A check-in system for events: web admin plus a native iOS app. Scans QR tickets, prints badges, ran all of Hack Your Way.
About the project
Čekin.cz checks attendees in at events and conferences. It scans a QR ticket, verifies it against the database, prints a badge on a mobile Brother printer, and shows in real time how many people have arrived.
The organizer gets a web admin, the people at the door get a native iOS app. It grew out of a first MVP I built with no experience in 2.5 hours, and that's exactly what got me into vibe coding.
The current version is a level up: the web (Next.js + Supabase) and iOS (SwiftUI) share one database and roles, and it handles walk-in badges, undo check-in, attendee import, and printing over Bluetooth and WebUSB.
It ran all of Hack Your Way without a single error.
What you get
- The line at the door keeps moving: scan and done.
- Prints a badge right on the spot.
- Ran all of Hack Your Way without an error.
- My own system instead of a paid one.
How it works (under the hood)
- Web admin (Next.js + Supabase) plus an iOS app (SwiftUI).
- Shared database, organizer and check-in roles.
- Badge printing over Bluetooth and WebUSB (Brother).
- Walk-in badges, attendee import, undo check-in.
